Having plans on New Years Eve and those plans ACTUALLY HAPPENING before midnight!! I have pretty much given up on New Years Eve, primarily because I have kids now, but also because I find it's the most over anticipated, over rated night of the year. People talk about it for weeks before, everyone asks what you are doing but in the end everyone is still trying to find something to do that's better then what they are ALREADY doing at 10:30pm......so when you actually make plans in advance, tell everyone and then at 10:30pm they're calling YOU and everyone wants to be at YOUR party or at whatever location YOU ARE AT...that's the end of year HEATER!! See you next year!!

Just save yourself the time and effort and wait until you're a) sober and b) able to wish your parents, best friend who decided to change their plans last minute or ex who you were drunk dialing without slurring your words. Long weekends!!! I just realized that since New Years Day falls on a Saturday this year, I will be getting this Monday off which will make for a second LONG weekend in a row! I love it. It’s always nicer when you can wake up when you want, eat when you want, and do anything you like for a day without being on the corporate clock and being told when and how to do things!! HEATER!!

Not being able to fall asleep in bed!! It doesn't happen often as I'm usually in a coma after a long day at work and at home, but the odd time like last night I was completely unable to fall asleep. I tried watching TV, getting up for a stroll around the house, getting a glass of water, counting sheep, even caught a cold (long story) and still was unable to kick the awake bug!! AND just found out two of my colleagues have the FLU. Looks like it's me against the world today! COOLER!!

Going shopping on Boxing Day and getting the parking spot closest to the door!! I was cruising into the local mall the other day and realized that finding a parking spot was going to be more of a burden then I orginally anticipated. As I turn into the lot I see a couple walking from the door and I begin to stalk them to their car. As they get closer to their car, my heart starts to race and I realize that their car is the one parked RIGHT beside the Handi parking!! HEATER!!

Cleaning up Christmas decorations!! Every year once the big day has come I put off cleaning up the decorations and primarily the tree for as long as humanly possible!! I went as far as to take down my tree but keep it in the dining room because I was THAT lazy. Hate cleaning, hate Christmas being over and hate having to start all over again in 11 months!! COOLER!!

I AM TAKING TODAY OFF SINCE NO ONE IS WORKING EXCEPT ME ANYWAYS!! HAHA

Realizing it’s a pay week when you genuinely thought it wasn’t!! It is a very rare occurrence but the odd time, believe or not, I actually have enough money in my account that I’m not counting down the days to pay day. On these one offs, I tend to forget it’s pay week until a colleague who is tight comes in, slugs down in my office and let’s out a “thank god tomorrow’s pay day’ to which you respond “IS IT?!!” and then you look like a giant ass acting like you had no idea. Here’s to all the pay days that creep up on us without us knowing!! HEATER!!

Finding out your friend is re-gifting the present you got them!! Christmas as stated yesterday is a time to share with loved ones and surprise people with gifts they aren’t expecting. What it ISN’T is a time to punch people in the kidney’s with lies and deception and using the hard thought out gift someone has bought you to offer to someone else in your life and getting the praise yourself…….but I’m not bitter!! Merry Christmas!! 2 days left!!

Going to pay somewhere and remembering you have a gift card!! Christmas is a great time for giving and a lot of people decide that gift cards are a pretty safe bet, and I would have to agree with them. I love the feeling when you get up to the cash and are digging for your debit card when it clicks…..you have that gift card from your neighbour’s brother yesterday that is for this store!! HEATER!!

When you remember someone’s name and they don’t know who the hell you are!! So this past summer I was the MC at my friends wedding. I knew everyone in the wedding party through either high school or through the bride and groom. I was strolling through the mall yesterday card shopping for the wife and saw one of the aforementioned brides maids. I smiled and walked over expecting to have an in depth conversation, and as I stopped her she asked “Where do I know you from?” …………WOW! COOLER!!

When a Subway sandwich artist makes your sandwich PERFECTLY!! The tomatoes are lined up, the pickles are in a row and the south west sauce has a perfect squiggly line like you’d see in a hotdog commercial!!  I won’t lie, I’ve had many a TERRIBLE made sub where you feel as though they are more of a sandwich terrorist then an artist, but when they live up to expectations and throw together an italian herb and cheese masterpiece it’s an UBER HEATER!!

Letting your child ride shotgun while the adult sits in the back seat!! I was driving to work today and saw a grown man curled up in the backseat of 1992 Tercel with his wife driving and 10 year old son in the passenger seat.......like realllly?????~!!!! How owned by your child do you need to be to allow THAT to happen. What's even the conversation before you leave?? I know for damn sure when I was young if I yelled "shotgun" I'd be either laughed at or left at home.....and I know for DAMN SURE my daughter wouldn't even think of calling shotty when there's anyone older then her riding with us. Some peoples children I'm telling you! GROW SOME PARENTAL BALLS MAAAAAN!! COOLER!

Having great friends!! They say that friends are the family that you get to choose and for me that couldn't be more true. I love my family to death and they are a lot like friends as well, but my I would go on record saying that I have surrounded myself with the best group of individuals possible. I have an amazing fiance, a best friend I've had since kindergarden and a group of friends that would take a bullet for me (and I for them) in a heartbeat. They are often over looked but a good group of friends makes life tolerable and so much more enjoyable! So be sure to let your closest friends know today how much they mean to you and how much of a HEATER they are in your life. :)

House cleaning!! I was lucky enough to grow up in a household where the chores, if any, were very limited and usually consisted of cleaning my own room and MAYBE setting the table every now and then. I was spoiled in that sense, not going to lie. So now that I'm on my own (for the last 10 years....lol) the art of cleaning is still somewhat foreign to me. You're supposed to scrub the tub HOW OFTEN??!! ESSSSSH. GG anti-bacterials. For all of you that have seen the upper HQ, you'll know it's always extremely organized and presentable, but I definitely wouldn't want CSI coming in with black lights....and now after writing this, I'm going to scrub the floors so no one calls me out on it when they're over. COOLER!

Losing yo your child at a video game when you're ACTUALLY trying!! I was playing a friendly game if NHL 11 this past weekend on XBox and she happened to score two fluke goals and I was unable to storm back for the victory.  She's 10. It's ridiculous and extremely embarrassing, but at least I can play it off as if I lost on purpose.....semi-heater? NOPE. UBER COOLER. I suck at life....and XBox apparently.... :)
